We recognize the importance of preserving our heritage and have taken numerous measures to be one of the leading green hotels in San Francisco. We Reduce
- We have a paperless front office policy
- We have bulk water service for employees and hotel guests
- We offer low flow faucets and shower heads
- We have energy efficient public lighting
- We have Energy efficient air conditioning/heating
- We monitor utility use through lighting & equipment controls
- We participate in City Steam Service to conserve energy
- We use biodegradable to-go cups, containers and paper supplies
- We use non-toxic biodegradable cleaning and laundry supplies
We Reuse
- Bedding & towel re-use program for stay over guests
- We reuse office paper and print both sides when possible
- We use Cloth towels in restrooms
- We donate unused food to non-profit food banks including Food Runners*
We Recycle
- We recycle plastic, glass, paper, cardboard, soap
- Our San Francisco hotel’s paper supplies come from recycled paper
- We recycle our food waste
- We recycle our cooking grease
- We recycle aluminum and plastic
