Through meticulous research, he uncovered the remarkable history of his father, Frank Tachovsky, a decorated war hero and former mayor and postmaster of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. His findings led to the creation of a compelling book that brings to life the extraordinary bravery of his father and the men who served alongside him in one of the fiercest battles of the Pacific.
